I've updated the extCal module to the standard 2.5.0 GUI.

You can download it from here

Please note that there are also other modules ready for testing and where we need help in improving them:

- MyLinks
- Marquee
- XoopsPoll
- fmContent
- extgallery
- Tag
- News
- xNews
- Xoops Partners

New development:
- xfaq

Voltan is working very hard on several of these modules and we would appreciate some help. Who could jump in and help?

Mamba,

Thanks for this great job.

I have installed News module version 1.67 and discovered some small issues.

In the admin section clicking on news module or home the following error is popping up:
Fatal error: Class 'testMenu' not found in /www/htdocs/vccaste/modules/news/admin/index.php on line 1539
None All Errors (3) Deprecated (0) Queries (19) Blocks (0) Extra (2) Timers(5)

Also the image for statistics is missing.

Renetjuh, thank you so much for testing.

I just uploaded the fixed file.

Please download this file and copy it to

/news/admin

and let me know if this fixed that.

Mamba,

Are those modules updated on xoops.org ? When we go in module repository, we always see publication date like 2008, 2009... so we do not really know if this is the last release...

I take for example marquee i just looked for and downloaded, first from module repository (i got an archive with files directly, without subloders modules/marquee = not recent :)) and then download from a link in your post on modules updated to test...

No, they are right now in Beta testing mode, so till we're done with testing, they are not updated in the module repository.

So it's important that people test them on XOOPS 2.5.0 ASAP, so we can release them as "final"

The links to the all of them are in this thread here - they are all currently only in SVN

Tests on the modules you linked us (on XOOPS 2.5 - PHP 5.2) :

Marquee
- lot of changes in language... I send you the utf8 french updated language by mail...
- Still missing the list of links in admin, to edit them. We now have to look for the link id to edit it... Quite heavy method to use !
- Admin home page : missing the first icon "Marquee management"

Mylinks
- lot of changes in language... I send you the utf8 french updated language by mail...
- Problems in language files (help and admin) : looks like it comes from marquee module... Could you check it before i update the french translation ?
ex : _AM_MARQUEE_CONFIG / _AM_MARQUEE_HELP1
- i will test this module after updating french translation...

xfaq
- on a technical point, it seems to work fin on admin and user sides
- CSS overright the website theme... not so great !
- No option to hide "How to do" and "Did you know" => Missing when it's not used !
- author of a question : when we are administrator, we get the first user in the list and not myself...

- french translation ready

extgallery
- still meet some difficulties when uploading with the java app big photos (2 to 5 Mo), with the option "save the original"
- french language updated... i sent it to you as you confirm me there will be no more changes
- would be nice to add a script to hide/display all slideshow config (so we can display only the one used)

Don't do any French translation yet.

I need to update the the variable names. I'll do it in the next few hours, and will let you know when it's ready for download, OK?

just finished testing tag module and french translation... Don't worry, i will compare files as you finished to update them.

Tag is working fine. By updating translation, i discover where i can change technorati etc...

So i'm asking if we could change by defaut to this (language file : main)

$GLOBALS["TAG_MD_ADDONS"] = array(
" On the website"    => array(
"title" => " On the website",
"link" => "{XOOPS_SITE}/search.php?query=%s&action=results",  ), " on google" => array(
"title" => " on Google"
"link" => "http://www.google.com/search?q=%s", ), ); ?>

Would it be working with a link like {XOOPS_SITE}/... ? Because i doesn't know anyone using technorati, etc in Europe !
