Well, Xoops Care works on demand, but it doesn't clean cache every 7 days, as I set. The main problem is with planet module I think.

I'll report debug messages.

XoopsCare need also a Cron job or the activation of an invisible block. Which do you use?
If you suspect a module is not caching that one not an option?

Neather of both. I've just realised that I'm dumb

Re: Restricting cache size

So we still have no solution for this situation other than a cron job, and sites that have this problem will just have their caches grow until they eat up all of your size allocation?

No! No! Read again!

Re: Restricting cache size

I have read it again, and that hasn't helped. Do we have a solution to this problem, and if so, what might that solution be? Perhaps I am dumb, but the approach one should take to control cache size is not apparent to me.

Could someone please help by spelling it out for me.

Re: Restricting cache size

Perhaps I should ask again, as the answer is not apparent to me:

Could someone please tell me what the suggested solution is for the cache size increasing constantly?

Thank you,
Tim

Re: Restricting cache size

I ran into too many problems before I ever got there.

The site that wrote it appears to be gone.

V.1.4 doesn't install properly, but does install a module that is called "Module File for Not Found!". I now have 2 of these and they won't uninstall or update, they just go to a blank page.

V1.2 does install, but it appears that when it clears the cache it clears the templates_c directory. My cache is not in that directory, as is suggested in the new security instructions. I can't find where to set the cache directory for this module.

I wish I had never seen this module.
