Re: xoops chat integration (like facebook) ?

Note: on my very first install, I hadn't seen the message to change 'trunk' to 'xim'... so it didn't work too well.

I had to delete, then manually delete two tables (cause I could not install new until the old tables were gone), and reinstall.

I am not sure. The issue about the docking on the footer: The chat window does not stay at the position it was left the last time if it was moved or once you minimize the chat window. Once this happens the chat windows maximized or minimized will move with the page behind when scrolling. Would the solution be to permanently dock it at the footer, then allow users to just minimize or maximize as needed. Then just allow chat windows to be stacked/docked one-on-top-of-the-other if the first row fills up.

I have tested the other features for a couple of days and works great. using firefox 2.5.9

Just an update to show development has not gone totally dead

I agree, this is a problem, and also the drag 'n drop cancels the scroll in the chat window. someone has some ideas about making this work and he'll look into this.

I am at the moment looking into a method including all the javascript without the use of preloads so also xoops 2.3.3 will be able to use xim. Also it does not look like preloads will be supported in the upcomming Xoops 3.0, so eigher way it will need to be done anyway.

Some feautures is still pending for instance the content of xim/index page. someone has some ideas about this but is somewhat secretive. Only promising "good news soon" so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

As far as I see though we're getting more near a version 1.0.

- sometimes in some page the online friend show empty () even there is many people online
- and if there is no online friend it sometime display () instead of (0)
- in some module..sometimes box cant be drag
- scrollbar in box can't be scroll
- the position of the box is not always in the same position if you browse from page to
another page
- when you minimize box..message sometimes is gone
- i prefer it to stay on the right corner of page..how do i do this
if there is other people chat with you at the same time ..put the box at top or left/right
I Love Xoops

We were looking in the beginning to port this one to xoops, but unfortunally the Licence doesnt allow this

Hey guys,
I hav tested this mod for over a month now on my LAN and works good. The only issue I have is when the users minimize then maximize the window, it moves along with the page. May I suggest to just remove the option to move the windows around and duck the chat windows on the footer of the screen/bar, themes designers would need to leave enough space at the footer of their theme so the content are not hidden by the bar. What do you all think?
