ExtCal 2.2.2 does not work with Xoops 2.4.3.. Options?

Are there any options for using a calendar like Extcal with 2.4.3 Xoops?

At the moment this module does not work with XOOPS 2.4.3

What are the problems? What are the debug messages?

When I go to submit an event from the minical block the top of the screen says "Going back where you came from" and goes to the default month screen.

I CAN seem to force entry of events if I do them from the admin but it is kind of kludgy that way.

I checked the permissions and they are all set correctly. I thought there was supposed to be an expanding menu from the user menu as well to allow you to submit an event but none of that seems to work.

I tried this on 3 different sites with slightly different configurations and it just seemed buggy.

All three sites are using XOOPS 2.4.3. One only has the system, pm and profile modules installed while the others have other stuff installed as well.

While it is of course important to solve this specific issue, the question is also interesting from an overall perspective. What good calendar modules are there really for XOOPS nowadays?

Development of eXtCal seems to have been discontinued and I don't know what kind of state piCal is in really. What other options are out there?

Did you try another admin interface?
Some problems with the combination of some modules and Oxygen were reported.

With ExCal It was from the user site of it, not the admin. I could force entry of items from the admin side but it is not the way to make it work when I have someone else moderating the content.


But I will try ExtGallery and see if this makes a difference with it as I was having similar problems with it but only from the admin side.

I have same problem as redheadedrod ...
after upgrade to 2.4.3 ExtCal not working change date if i can submit event. Date is not clickable. Manual check date dont work too.

PiCal have same problem as ExtCal. Date in New Event not clickable. I cant make new event for 2-3 days... ExtCal (PiCal)
showing only one day when is created.
I thing its not problem in this module, or yes?

I just installed piCal 0.93 on a site running 2.4.4 (PHP5.2.6) and I have no problem creating events etc from the front-end. Seems to indicate some local problems on your server, but two people having the same problem of course indicates it is something general as well.
