had a problem with my site, started to receive lots of spam registrations. I checked and noticed the captcha field was missing from registration page (was i hacked).. this explained how i was getting spam registrations.

So I decided to upgrade from 2.3.2 to 2.4.1, all upgraded fine, but the captcha field is still missing from registration page.
When I go to register a new user, and click on submit, I not get

Cannot redeclare class XoopsCaptchaImage in /home/tildeath/public_html/class/captcha/image.php on line 120

Can someone please help me with this?

Did you update the Profile module in Admin?

It should be version 1.55

yes it is 1.55, it updated when i upgraded to latest version.

You system probably doesn't have the GD2 libraries on it, this means the captcha will not be able to draw..

Can you check?

problem was the gd2.
