I have installed XOOPS 2.4 Final in a Netfirms server under their Advantage Hosting plan and found that the loading time of the first page is over 15 seconds (even though the site is closed and only the login page is load). Is it normal?

Does the URL rewrite module affect the loading time of the XOOPS site?

I really want to use XOOPS 2.4 instead of static HTML pages (of course, static HTML pages are load more quickly) for the website. Any suggestion?

Maybe it is caused by multi-domains/sites running in the hosting account, which affects shared resource and speed of each domain/site.

The recent release of 2.4.3 is wonderful and it is great that a new road map is paved in the Annual Report 2008-2009 (Draft). Really hope XOOPS 2.6 or 3.0 will beat other CMSs and become the No. 1 Hit CMS used in the world.
