I want to find detailed information on the following topics:

(1) Starting SEO using XOOPS 2.5.6 (or 2.6) and how to customize it
(2) SEO with Google and Adsense, Bing and Yahoo! using XOOPS 2.5.6 (or 2.6)
(3) Advanced SEO techniques using XOOPS 2.5.6 (or 2.6)
(4) Building SEO-oriented and/or responsive theme/module for XOOPS 2.5.6 (or 2.6)

Are there any site teaching the above more SEO-oriented knowledge, techniques and tips in systematic and step-by-step pace, instead of information being scattered around in different pieces or in difference sites?

Thank you very much!

Regards,

cadelite

Hi, all!

Will there be XOOPS 2.5.6 Final? When will it be released?

Is this a really final version of 2.5.x series?

Thanks a lot!

Is it possible to set "ONE" specific news shown on the front page?

I've set the module News as "Module for your start page" in the Preferences > General Settings. Then, when visiting the site, several pieces of news are displayed on the front page with a navigation bar on the top. How can I set a specific ONE news to be shown on the front page and not showing the navigation bar?

News module version: 1.67
XOOOPS version 2.5.5

Thank you very much!

After upgrading of the module Liaise from 1.27 to 1.5, the following warning is displayed:

Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in ....... /modules/liaise/server.php on line 10

When reading the file "server.php", the following line on line 10 is found:

$server = &new captcha_x();

Is there a way to get rid of this warning about deprecated value by modifying the above line or others?

My XOOPS version is 2.5.5.

Thank you very much!

Thanks, Mamba! You're so great!

Quote:
I don't know, but since very few people used it, AFAIK, then if you run into problems, you might not get any response, and you'll have to solve the issues yourself.

I think I understood why so few people use this module (as well as giving comments on it). Read the "End User License" inside docs folder inside the zip file:

"1. Ownership This software at all times remains the property of Exitstencil Press Pty. Ltd. You are allow to install it as many times as you may; to access the network that it configures. At anytime we reserve the right to charge you a Fee for it ongoing development and maintenance of it systems of business"

It is quite normal for users to avoid installing this module if they read all the files in details

No one wants to be charged without knowing when and how much to be charged after installing this module.

Further:

"4. Restrictions You agree not to modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Software."

This restricts the ability of users from modifying the source code to suit their needs.

Anyway, thank you very much for your link. It seems that a "real free" multisite functionality of XOOPS will not be foreseeable in the near future.

Thanks to all developers in this area. Hope the development team will make a Great Fortune in this Multisite module's development

Regards,

cadelite
