news module: can't access admin area online

when i login to the admin area online, the only pages of the "news" module i can access are "permissions" and "preferences", all others result in blank pages (for example "topics manager").

On my local install i didn't have this problem, only online.
The admin area of all other modules works fine.

Any suggestions?

You could try updating the module from the system admin.
Or there could have been a problem with the upload of the module. In that event deactivate the module, uninstall the module, delete the module and then re-upload the module and install it again.

thanks but that didn't work... could it be related to the file permissions?

edit: solved! something was wrong with admin\index.php apparently
