New member registration email to Webmaster not being sent

I am using 2.3.3 and other emails seem to work fine. But I have noticed that when new users register I do not get the notification emailed to me. I have it set for this in the user info settings of preferences but it doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas?

Check the settings in the genral profile preferences for notify by mail upon user registration and the groups to sent it to.

Yes they are set.
