Ok I know this is probibly something right under my nose but here is the situation. I moved my XOOPS site to a new server after loading the db and making sure all the paths where correct and the web server was configured correct I get the following error "XOOPS root path not defined" I checked the mainfile.php and the paths in there are correct as well.

where else should I look or am I just overlooking something.

Thanks

can't remember the version of XOOPS this site but it is fairly current. I am running IIS for the web server and php5

Check your path again in the mainfile.php

I had this happen once and discovered my host had moved me to a different server. For example:
XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/home/mysite/public_html
Became: XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/home2/mysite/public_html

My mainfile.php still had the home instead of home2 in the path thus XOOPS was out not in the path anymore.

There are at least three places in the mainfile.php you will have to change this.

Hope this helps!
