Can anyone tell me if Oledrion ecomerce module can be used to sell e-books by providing a download link after the purchase and if so how? Or if there is any documentation on the module and where to find it. I checked Instant Zero but didn't find it anywhere.

Yes it can. I use it to do just that.
Olderion will send a once off link to the customer once the payment has been verified.
When you enter details of a product in the modules preferences, there is a field where you can enter a url to the product in the case that it's a download.
