I've run into what seems to be yet another Windows Internet Explorer specific problem. I'm using CBB 3.08 on my site for forums. Using IE 8 on Windows OS, if someone clicks on the Main Options menu and chooses one of the options, say New Posts, an incorrect URL is generated. If one views the site in Firefox, the correct URL is generated and the appropriate page is displayed.
My site is running under XOOPS 2.3.3, PHP 5.2.9, mySQL 5.0.81. Because I run a few site for our affiliate clubs on the same server, I have put each in a subfolder. Thus, the path to the main site is
http://www.aka.org/aka/In Windows IE8 the Main Options/New Posts choice generates the URL:
http://www.aka.org/aka/viewpost.php?type=newIt should be:
http://www.aka.org/aka/modules/newbb/viewall.php?type=newwhich is what Firefox produces. Is this a bug in CBB or in Windows? Any way to fix it? You can see this by using Windows IE8 to access
http://www.aka.org then try the Main Options menu. No need to log on.
[Edit] In IE, if I click on the link to the forum index such that the full URL of the full path to the forums is showing in the IE location bar, the Main Options drop down links work.
