Re: The starport at http://the-starport.net

Thanks a lot, I've been able to register now.

What's the best format for me to submit the changes I've done to the core and the related modules? Right now I only have the modified PHP files, but I could probably create diff files out of them.

First, welcome to XOOPS!!! We are happy to have you with us.

And we very much appreciate your willingness to share with us your changes!

If you're a member of SourceForge, I'll give you acccess to our SVN so you can upload some of the files directly there, of course, after discussing it with the rest of the Core team, so they know what is being changed and why

I'd actually prefer to just post up the changes for the devs to see so they can pick what they like and/or maybe alter certain ones to make them more efficient. I can't say whether my changes are the cleanest around, only that they work, so I'd feel better to just have them somewhere without committing anything on the SVN itself; wouldn't want to break something while I'm at it

You can post them somewhere on the Web, so we can download them, or you can email them to me and I'll post them here on XOOPS.

Well,

We run a coding/modding site our selves. We know what it does to the greater good to just share the code changes and updates.

Question: Why is there no quote button?

Resized Image it's here, once you've clicked 'Reply'

Ah and oh..

Than im just spoiled with FriendlyFire's magic hacks and tricks. Because we use the same forum system and it provides a nice quote button on the bottom of every post next to reply.

Re: The starport at http://the-starport.net

Well sorry for the excessively long delay, but I've finally been able to compile the non-specific patches I've done to the XOOPS source. The zip archive contains diff files of all the modifications I've done with basic comments on the why and what. I hope the devs can take advantage of some of it!
