Would like to make a request for a Poll / Survey module, similar to Poll v 1, by Kazumi Ono.

The main difference would be that the user's would be able to vote more than once (say, in a survey where you want to track sitings, of say a certain bird and its young) over a period of 2 or three months.

It would be nice if it could have some sort of ability to prevent people from entering "fake votes".

I've thought of playing with the current Polls module I have but I am swamped for time to devote to that.

hello again webweaver :) I think you already have this option with poll v1. Just in your poll option choose yes to 'Allow multiple selection?'

This of course does not secure "fake" voting :-s

Hi Culex,

Multiple selection enables check boxes, so that the user can choose more than one option.

But Poll v.1 tracks if the user has already cast a vote, say on one day, then they cannot vote again, on another day.

yes this is true. Thought this module had the feature to allow more than one vote per user, but maybe I am thinking about the old version.

Maybe someone has made a hack to do this. I will keep an eye out for something you can use

Hi Webweaver and Culex,
As you are familiar with polling/voting modules can you direct me to one that would be suitable for virtual committees where voting takes place on proposals and each participant's vote can be recorded and visible?

Poll v1 keeps track of each vote on the questions of a poll cumulative. For example, "5 people have voted for this question". It displays the results graphically. That would be the closest match I can think of.

Maybe XOOPS Poll 1.2 has what you are looking for ? I haven't tried it.

No this is an update of the original xoopspoll module. The only difference is that it has been updated to use with XOOPS 2.3.3 and php5. I am not sure but I think this module actually had a setting to allow more than one vote per user. What I am not sure I can remember is if it still had some kind of limit (1 per day per user) or similar, but maybe worth to check out for your project Webweaver

@ Greenflatdog.: Sounds interesting though with a module like this, kind of like a parlement voting system :)
