I was able to access my website just perfectly fine yesterday, now today when I log on, I get a blank index.php page. I didn't mess with any settings or anything prior to this. I already searched through these forums for FAQs on how to fix the blank pages, but nothing seems to be working. I turned on debug mode, but I can't see the error when it goes to the blank index.php page, so I don't know what sort of error this is. I also tried changing the theme to default, but that didn't fix the blank index.php page. I don't know what's going on.. I really hope my site didn't get hacked into or something. I can access all the other parts of my website, but the index.php page is blank. This started happening today. As I said before, the page was working just fine yesterday and now all of a sudden when I go to my website, I get a blank page. Please help! Thanks :)

I am using the latest version of Xoops, btw.

You might check with your host provider if they updated your PHP to PHP5 version. Sometimes you have installation with PHP4, and you use a module that is not PHP5 compatible, but which works fine under PHP4. Then your host updates to PHP5, and then your site goes blank.

You can also deactivate all modules, and activate one by one to see which one is the offending one.

It is possible that a (custom?) block is behaving bad.
Go to admin - block managment and set temporary all the blocks on invisible. Check the index page and if it is Ok, enable the blocks one by one. When the index page fails again, check out the last activated block.

My hosting provider usually sends an email out to me when there's updates like that, and I haven't received anything.
I deactivated all of my custom blocks but my index.php page is still blank.

I'm still able to access all of my other pages perfectly except index.php.

I see, you had blank pages before. Was that completly resolved?

Are you using another language than english on your site? If so try once english (preferences).
Is there a module appointed to display at the frontpage? If so try change that in the preferences to none.
If you have a blank page and you do view source in the browser is this also blank or is there some partial html listed?

Yes, I had blank pages before, and I didn't know what else to do so I just re-installed the entire XOOPS module again and upgraded to the latest version. I got the blank page the same way -- it was working fine the previous day then I log on the next day and index.php is blank. But now I'm getting it again, and I don't want to have to go through all of that trouble again of configuring the module and everything. It took many weeks to get it the way I wanted it. There has to be another way to resolve this without having to re-install the module each time.

I'm not using any other languages on my site except English.

The start page of my module is already set to 'none.' I did try setting the start page to other modules, but it was still blank.

I viewed the index.php page source in my browser, and the source page is blank.

I downloaded the index.php file from my FTP server to see if that was blank too, but it's not. All of the code is in there. I didn't modify this file, either.

What modules do you have installed?
Does it make a difference to load:
http://mysite.com/
http://www.mysite.com/
http://mysite.com/index.php
http://www.mysite.com/index.php
(with blocks are invisible and default theme)?
Does it matter to be logged on or off?
And all other pages like /modules/newbb/ etc are working?
Does it help to appoint a module as default module for the homepage?

also do your site have more than one language ?

Could be a problem with languagefiles

This is my site. You can get to it from the TinyContent module:

http://www.exodus-studio.com/modules/tinycontent/?id=2

If you click on 'Home' it takes you to the blank page.

It doesn't make a difference if you try to load any of those addresses. I still get a blank page.

The only language installed is English.

The modules I have installed are:
-System
-News
-newbb forums
-Oledrion
-Private Messages
-User Profile
-Protector
-ThAdmin
-TinyContent
-UserPage
-Wf-Channel
-Wf-Downloads
-Wf-Resource
-Xoops Care
-X-forms

All of these modules are installed and working properly. I'm only getting a blank page on index.php.
