and below this is the requirement before installing

and my webserver currently running as below:
Server API apache2handler
Apache/2.2.9 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.2.6-2ubuntu4.1 with Suhosin-Patch mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8g

Regarding step 5, if you are doing this then delete the standard mainfile.dist.php, copy mainfile.dist.php.protector from /extras into your xoops_root folder and then rename it to mainfile.dist.php

Yeah, I know it sounds obvious but worth checking.....

Also, make /cache and /templates_c writeable too (just in case).

I did this steps before and what I see is still the same problems

The full XOOPS package is released with a script able to check if all the system files have been correctly uploaded to the server. To use it, follow these instructions:

1. Upload the checksum.php and checksum.md5 files located in the XOOPS package root to your XOOPS server folder (putting them next to mainfile.php).
2. Execute checksum.php with your browser
3. If necessary, re-upload the missing or corrupted system files
4. Remove checksum.php and checksum.md5 from your server

Oh, I think we got our wires crossed, I took it he was asking what you were referring to regarding my answer in a previous post. nvm....

And now I know what you were referring too now :)

when I uploaded the checksum.php and checksum.md5
it show me the results as below :

The problems is still there. I can't proceed to installation page.
error msg:"No XOOPS installation could be found in the specified folder."

Change the url to http:xxxxxxx.com/checksum.php and try that again.

found the checksum withhttp://xxxx.com/checksum

Now I know where is the link lost.

now I miss the files below. Try several times to reupload or delete files first before upload and the files still missing. Please help !!
