To the following:

Seems like the WF series of mods are not ready for 2.3.x.

XOOPS 2.3.2b, WF-Channel 2.03 and WF-Resource 1.04 seems work OK, but there I found some bug.
If you enter mixed content with different languages, then only English content would be visible, all other symbols would be replaced with "?"(question mark) in my case it was Russian characters.
To resolve this problem you should go to
modules/wfchannel/sql
and replace in the file "wfschannel.sql" strings, which contain "CHARSET=latin1" to current MySQL's default charset. In my case I replace that to "CHARSET=utf8" and now all mixed languages stored and display correctly.

IMHO it would be better to remove this parameter from "wfschannel.sql" completely, then default database's carset could be applied.

Best regards,

Alex

Guys,

Please could you let catzwolf_ know of your observation either by PM or email? He's a top chap and will take your comments on board as soon as he can.

@samitarget:
The current releases of the wf-channel v2.03/wf-resource v1.04 combo can be found from this news item:
https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=4643

Cheers

These modules are not the up to date ones and have a few bugs in them, please download the latest versions from the link that JV gave in his post and try again.

Let me know if that works for you.

These modules ARE 2.32 ready and I did many checks to ensure they worked on that version and many other XOOPS versions.

Hello,

I upgraded from wf-channel 1.07 to 2.03 and now the admin index page does not display any of the pages. The tabs display, but everything below the text "Manage all your pages..." is blank. I did turn of the links to the social networks. The system is RHEL 4.7 with MySQL 4.1.22, php 4.3.9, apache 2.0.52 and XOOPS 2.3.2b. I did have to manually modify indices and several fields to match details in wfchannel.sql. Please advise.

I am right no0w looking into the reason why this is happening. I did tests yesterday and I seemed to have issues until I did a module update in XOOPS Module administration.

If it is ok with you could you send me the version of WF-Channel that you previously used and a copy of the old WF-Channel database tables please?

I will send you a pm for with the email address, thanks.

Catz
