Is the online theme builder still available anywhere? Or something similar to it? I was reading about it in the news section about it being at katthemes.com, but I see that site is up for sale. Please let me know if you have a information. Thanks.

Unfortunately the project was done only online, so no code was ever published.

I've tried to contact the author long time ago, but never received an answer

wasnt there a downloadable module that you can..well..download

or some HACK in the repository?

i think i remember if you were going to use it
you HAD To have the latest version of Dreamweaver

howerver if you already have Dreamweaver v8 or above
there is a SMARTY CODE plugin you can add to it from the Adobe.com website

Which means you would be able to create your theme using dream weaver and the plugin would add the smarty tags

but thats what i dont understand
the code creates a page but
where do we place this code for use?

because in the code there is this line

but if the katthemes.com website is not there
this line of code wont work

The page only displays a form which was used to create the theme. I suspect ghia got this from the web archive :)

The php page which processes this form and some other related scripts are not available. Without the necessary source you would have to recreate the folder/file write functionality for this form to work.

This is the main reason why we want all developers to submit their code to XOOPS, so if they disappear for whatever reason, the code won't disappear with them. We've had too many situations like this: with some modules and with this "Theme Builder"

This is the "run over the truck" scenario - what will happen if the developer gets hit by a truck. Where is the code? How can the community have access to it? So please: if you develop something for XOOPS, please place it on XOOPS or SourceForge.
