How to delete template manually?

How do i delete a template set manually?
without going through the admin interface.

using FTP and phpmyadmin.

where is the template file location?

I only see these:
xx_tplfile
xx_tplset
xx_tplsource

and deleting them doesn't make any difference. it still shows in the XOOPS template admin

Templates are stored in the database.
In preferences there is a setting to allow checking of the files and automatically update them.
