Can't install ecoTut 1.2

hi,

i have problems installing ecoTut 1.2 module. i get some syntax error. please take a look:
Unable to install ecoTut. Error(s): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'mod int(1) NOT NULL default '0', supID int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',' at line 7


i find this module just great, so please help me out guys.

is there any way to fix that error? or any other ask/answer module? like somebody asks a question and another one answers? i've tried smartfaq but i noticed only Q&A submission =(

smartFAQ can have comments activated. Look at the FAQ on this site for an example. Questions can be submitted...
-What's different that you want to do?
-Who do you want to answer the FAQ questions? Moderators/admin or other users?
-How about a forum?

I want other users answer the questions. and it's not going to be FAQ it's just gonna be questions regarding terms translation posted by general users. please, take a look here: http://www.proz.com/?sp=k2 - a user asks a question, http://www.proz.com/kudoz - other users anser the questions posted. the reason why i dont want to use general forum for this is because it'd be better to run it as a separate module and i need more complicated ASK QUESTION form.

'mod' is a reserved word in your mySQL version.
You have to edit the sql file in the sql directory to change mod in modif.
Then you have to lookup in all the files the lines containing xoopsDB. On these lines replace mod by modif.
That should let the module run.
For security: don't use it without Protector!

thanks ghia, i followed your instructions and installed the module succesfully. but now i get a blank page when go to http://mysite/modules/ecoTut/admin/index.php ( other pages of the module seem to work ok. i run XOOPS 2.2

Very odd, because it is such a small function, which is almost a template for faq.php etc. in admin. Does the Navigate Topic button work in category admin?

oh i've tried and found out that none of the scripts from the admin directory work. they all cause blank page.
