CatAds 2 was announced on XOOPS France a week ago.
But you will have to be patient, because it was only an announcement and the module is still under test.

The module is a total rewrite done as a payed job for a customer of Instant-Zero and was also announced as a payed module, altough there was not yet a price indication set.

The announcement has caused a lot of turmoil on XOOPS France and has divided the community. As a result the comments on the announcement have been cut away and the announcement has been withdrawn on Herve his request.

Some believe that the site http://xoops.instant-zero.com/ is not closed for upgrade or maintenance, but that Herve closed it out of anger and thinks of quitting further development of his renown modules like News, etc.
Up to now, other members of Instant-Zero did not confirm or deny either version.

This is clearly not the case. The newly reopened IZ website lists all the free modules (as before) and those that are available for a payment in two very clear categories. It is also clear the website has had a make-over whilst closed, so from my viewpoint I think those rumours were wrong.

We should all remember that Instant Zero is a business from which the partners derive income. We, as a community, should be grateful that they spend so much time writing and updating their (free) modules as well as helping out on here.

It is no coincidence that both Hervé and Marco have been WOX "Xoopser of the Month" in very recent times.

I was on the upgrade opinion, but it could have been better communicated and that's where rumours start. Especially when it took surprisingly long too and nobody of IZ cared to react.
For instance, instead of the standard 'Site closed!', it could have had a little more personalised explanation.

For those who do not want or can pay for the CatAdsPro module and want the original free Catads 2 module, there is also good news. The original developer (ClaudeF alias The Cat) seems to retake the module and do some fixing on problematic functions.
