Hi

I have updated to version 2.2.3 to 2.3rc3 and all the blocks have all disappeared from the site. I have tried to activate them from the control panel and have also disappeared all of all the modules. Now I do not have to put blocks on my website.

any idea?

Are you using a cloned block set? or the default?

Default.

I see the "newblock" table is empty, is correct?

Did you check all the steps of the upgrade process (readme file), especially the directory rights?

I provide many times with the same result over 2.2.6

I have update other web from 2.0.18.2 with no problems.

I made a quick test

my environment

# Apache HTTPD 2.2.9
# MySQL 5.0.51b
# PHP 5.2.6

1. download 2.26..install
2. create some custom block, activated some system blocks (new members, top poster etc)

3. download 2.3rc3, apply upgrade
2.26 to 2.018 and then to 2.3 rc3 (imho opinion upgrade process/guide should be improved and should be documented properly..there is no guide on how to upgrade 2.26 to 2.3 in the zip folder,
do i need to leave all the subfolder in the upgrade folder..or just leave the folder of my current XOOPS version....this will confused people especially new members

3. upgrade successfull....log to my site...what i notice all the custom block i created are gone...the system block that i activated still there though

hope this to be fix asap..

hello

@maxxy
about documentation, there is a release_note at the root of the package. You will find in it the same instructions than in the xoops.org release's announce. it's a 9 steps process.
there is a 2.3 RC3, where we worked on the blocks area. Can you test with the latest RC, aka RC3, and confirm / infirm the bug
thanks

There was some problematic logic in XOOPS core.
Fixed in SVN
