Hi!

I have a DMS problem! Pdf's work perfect but after uploading word document (.doc) I get problems retrieving it.

MS Word wants to convert it to some format (long list, but there are ex. Coded text, RTF, html, word 97 etc)
Unfortunately non of the converting works, from a simple one page document I get a 40 page document mostly blank with some strange characters.

I use Office XP and IE 7 can it be a problem of compatibility?

What DMS module? What version? What PHP/MySQL are you using? Can you provide a link to it, so we can see it in action and understand the problem?

I'm having the same problem - an MS Word download from the DMS works fine in Chrome or FireFox but falls apart in IE - downloads as a zip file containing html 'stuff' (inside the zip file are '_rels' & 'docProps' & 'word' folders with a file named '[Content_Types]').

The Word doc was created in Office '07 and saved to be compatible with '03.

Any help would be much appreciated - we will have to find another solution if we can't resolve this problem because not all team members have sufficient privilege to use the other browser options.

Sorry, I dont know this module at all. Have you tried mailing the author of the module. Maybe they have a good reply to your answer :)

I saved a word doc and can't pull it up. It states something about encoding. I have gone into word and changed conversion file. I have tried wordpad and notepad. I have tried different things on teh computer and still can't get the word document. I need this document for a class and hate to redo it. Can any one help me. I using word2003 but in xp program. I have not had any problems with this until now. I NEED HELP!
