Bug in Xoops 2.0.18.1

I am using the latest version of XOOPS and having following issues;
First it was not allowing me (admin) to view user profiles, nor to send them PM or even reply the PM.
I ON the debug mode from preferences to check what is the error. But now when I try to enter the administration area, it says;
"This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed."
When I push "Submit" button, it again shows the above message and not allowing me to the admin area. Please suggest what to do......

I think, there were some problems with IE7. See this thread, and try to change the settings for regenerating the session id.
Support XOOPS => DONATE
Use 2.5.11 | Docs | Modules | Bugs

Thanks for the reply.
I am having the issue both in Firefox and IE as well. In Firefox it says that "this is your first time to enter....." and in IE, it does not allow to login at all.
I Checked the thread. Can you please sum it up for other users for future as well. As there is nothing clear from that thread....... Thanks for your dedication.

Is your /cache directory on the server writable, i.e. CHMOD 777?

You can check with your ftp programme. Normally just a right click on the remote folder and then picking up properties.

Moreover now another issue is raised. When I add a custom HTML block, it does not add any thing. Why so?

You might have a corrupt adminmenu.php

Log out from your site, use your ftp client to delete /cache/adminmenu.php then log back into your site and visit the admin area.

You will get the "is this your first time...." message; clicking of the "Yes" buttom will regenerate adminmenu.php
