Hello everyone,

If you read the news then it seems that XOOPS and ecommerce are a match made in heaven but in actuality XOOPS does not have a decent well tested and reliable ecommerce module.

I would like to use XOOPS and E-commerce side by side somehow so I am asking anyone for some advice if they have implemented such a system. Let me begin by listing the implementations that I can think of:

1. XOOPS + XOOPS Zencart module (unsupported)
2. XOOPS + bookshop module (costly)
3. XOOPS website and e-commerce website (such as magento) both using openID. (not available to existing websites )

Solution 3 looks the most appealing because you get the best of both worlds an excellent CMS and excellent e-commerce functionality.

Can xoopser get back to me with any other ideas and the pros and cons to the above? I think this will be a good discussion to have and helpful to many others who are also a bit confused about the e-commerce options available to xoops.

I believe such topic has been discussed many times before. Anyway, maybe it is something new:

If you have a limited range of products, you can just use a static content module like Pico. Frankly, I think most of the ecommerce modules are overly complicated and a bit of a security hazard.

Try using the Google translation. It works most of the time...

I'm looking for a mod where anyone can pay a small fee then open their own store from my site with its own store(s) Is this possible with any of the XOOPS mods?

Thanks
