I need to set up a site so that visitors can pay for a service by entering their credit card information into a form that is on a secure server. I have the SSL and have tested it, but when I am logged in and go to the module on the SSL, I am logged off the site.

Is there some way I can go to the module on the SSL and stay logged into the site?

Which module are you using?? I suggest you use MakePayment .. This allows for anonymous payment with a redirection URL so it can trigger that the payment was recieved.

As https:// and http:// are consider different sites by the cookies which is part of their security you have to have the customer logged into ssl from the start.

I haven't decided which module to use yet. It is for a client's website and she doesn't want to spend much money or use a payment gateway. If I could get her to use one, this wouldn't be an issue. Thank you for the information, though.

I guess I will have to create a webpage outside XOOPS that the customer is directed to for entering their creidt card information.

FYI
Yes, I have tried explaining to my client that this is not a good way to do business, but she feels it "looks" more professional than using a payment gateway.
