I am using 8temChoclate theme for the web site.
I am trying to change the footer link to my my web site, but it is still showing the actual one.

Any suggestions.

The footer is probably hard coded at the bottom of your theme.html.

Read the FAQs on Themes and Templates to help you understand how themes work. Likely, though, you'll find it in XOOPS_ROOT/themes/8temChoclate/theme.html.

With footer link

At the very bottom where it says <{$xoops_footer}>
you may see a link to the site you wish to remove or exchange for a link to your own site.

You put the full address of your site /themes/ folder you are using /theme.html (you can do this with your browser, like above example)

You can then open the file with notepad (view source from the file menu) and very carefully remove the link and save the file to your desktop. Then ftp it back to the themes directory where it came from.

If you have any questions about what I just said be sure and make a backup before you start. (of the file)
