suggestion

1. Ajax -
Example Jom Comment or The youtube comment system..
move the wysiwyg editor in the comment page not in a new page

2. Comment Pagination
make an option so that user can select how many comment per page

3. Report User
example like in CBB

4. ignore user
user can choose to hide/block a particular user's comment from their view

5. notifications
example cbb


if you have other suggestion..please add

ajax comment and comment pagination will be a nice feature for XOOPS

- option to open comment and close comment just like in wordpress

- truncate long URL

as far as i know the plan was to integrate comment system with CBB.
so all features will be available from forum module.

i said before but i write again..

for comment:

must be security code to stop spams..

and can be delete much comments togetger if they are spams..

if i'm not mistaken there is a module that moves comment to cbb..but not sure it will work with latest xoops/cbb version...

imho comment system should be modularized or included in core

so what if i don't use cbb and only use modules like d3pipes/newbbex/ etc

another suggestion.......

- bulk deleting comments
- keywords blacklist - if comment have any of words in the list.. automatically put it in pending list
- auto deletion of spam (set keywords)

i like how youtube.com implements its comment system and hope XOOPS can implelement this

- ajax..
- comment editor in same page
- votes up votes down
- advanced time of post : eg 1 hour ago
- comment with most votes down will not be shown
- mark comment as a spam by user - and it will be hide
- total of comments

i support the idea for XOOPS to implement the comment system like the youtube system..
