Ritchie and alittlemisfi, was you able to find a solution for the problem? I couldn't yet. Actually I'm giving up since I can't find any support and CBB is also problematic like Kamax says. I think I'm going to install an external forum like phpbb in anoter directory, for the users, make the web site as good old static html pages and maybe some of my code for the news, that will make the job. Too bad I lost days after that.

now waiting for CBB 4
if using other external forum, all my post will be lost :(

Hi,

No solution. I went back to an older version of newbb and XOOPS 2.0.17. That worked out ok for me. I must say i am verry dissapointed with the solutions brought here by dev team members. I think the ship is going down this way.

Next step joomla maybe because it gives me a great deal of problems lately to keep working with xoops.

I have exactly the same problem - can't edit forum settings,I use latest version of XOOPS 2.0.18. Thanks so much , for any help.

I've noticed the exact same problem. It doesn't happen with the same install of newbb on my older site using XOOPS 2.0.16 but does happen in the new site I've been working on using XOOPS 2.0.18.1, so it seems to be something with XOOPS and not newbb that is messing it up. Very annoying and I would love to find out why it's happening so we can fix it.

This is where I've traced the problem you're having to:

modules/newbb/class/formselectuser.php on line 34

The problem with this line will be different depending on which versions you're using.
