Hi there.

I created a new block to my main page and when I go into the admin section and make it visible, the main page is blank.

If I hide it, then the page returns to normal.

The template for the block at the moment consists of

hellow world

Is there something I'm not doing when it comes to adding blocks? I'm not the person who made this site, so I don't know if there's anything I need to do.

Hi,

when dealing with white page the easyest way is to enable phpdebug mode - go in admin -> system -> preferences - general and for debug mode select php debug. Then look for warnings and fatal errors.

How do you add block? Is it custom block and you add the code in admin -> system -> blocks or you edited some file?

PS: When adding custom blocks, don't forget to go at admin -> groups ... and set the access rights for the new block ...
