Hi There,

I'm trying to figure out where we set wether or not a module is included in the Global Search. I want to remove a module from being searched, but I have no idea where to find this information.

Thanks,

Phil

Blank page after adding a new block.

Hi there.

I created a new block to my main page and when I go into the admin section and make it visible, the main page is blank.

If I hide it, then the page returns to normal.

The template for the block at the moment consists of

<div>hellow world</div>

Is there something I'm not doing when it comes to adding blocks? I'm not the person who made this site, so I don't know if there's anything I need to do.

Thanks

You know, it sucks being a dumbass sometimes. I just realised I was working off the wrong database. This one has no records, the right one has many..

So it works..

This will most likely come off as really stupid, but I'm still learning Xoops.

Basically I need to have a page run a quick check on a table in the database and return the result.

The page isn't part of any of my modules or anything like that, so I'm wondering can I just create the page, reference main_file, and get an instance of the database?

I've tried it, and when I run $result = $db->query($sql) I get a Resource ID #37. Which I think means it was ok, but when I try to do a db->fetchArray($result) there's nothing there..

Hi There,

Thanks for your help, I was able to find it. I'm curious as to the syntax though.

By default webmaster|^xoops|^admin are set.

^admin would mean any instance of admin in the word? or finishing with admin?

Actually, this is probably documented somewhere right?

Phil

Hey,

I'm wondering, is there a way to block certain words from being used in usernames?

I bring this up, since I run a french website and someone used the french equivalent of "Moderator" as his username. I'm wondering if there's a way to block certain words like "admin" and whatnot from being used in a user name.

Thanks,

Phil
