Welcome back

Welcome back XOOPS.

Another site said the site was hacked by crackers coming in through the Apache code.

What happened?

That other site is lying. XOOPS.org was down because the current servers are not up to the task (not enough disk space causes apache to freeze). We have got two new servers ready for use, but moving this site involves a lot more then just copying some code and a database. But, it's being worked on as I type this.

whatever happened -- it would have been nice to inform the members by any other channel. Most of the team members have a homepage or a blog, or at least they could have informed some multiplicators as e.g. the national communities by email or news posting on their sites.

There's still no news or apology concerning this on the xoops.org index page...

kind regards

Thanks Herko, shame DJ muscled James out as the server transfer would of been done now.

I wouldn't count on it, but we can dream.

Yesterday, when I hour by hour tried to reach xoops.org, I had a look at google.

the last Google-Cacheing was as of 16 Sep 2007 01:05:52 GMT,

at 15 Sep 2007 16:28:24 GMT already, dev.xoops.org said "db connection failed"

That's still the status quo.

someone not 5 mins ago has deleted all my messages in my PM inbox on x.org from 2007.

messages saved from 2006 are still present, but all messages i had saved from 2007 have been deleted, including some i have received yesterday & today..

also since it happened, i can no longer remove the inbox(1) notice in the user menu..

can admin confirm that they are messing with the DB, if not then somebody unauthorised is doing so.
