No, that module shows the sitemap of your website.
See here how that looks like.

The Google sitemap is some kind of script for indexing your site.

No, I use sitemap from GIJOE.

EDIT: I think it's the same sitemap module as you mentioned, only a little bit newer.

An interesting module for generating metatags is XBS MetaTags. I have to admit that I don't have any experience with this module, but the description sounds good.

Re:

With the Sitemap module that McDonald refers too, you will find a file inside it called xml_google.php - from memeory you need to place this file in the root of your website and submit it to google sitemap which is part of the google "webmaster tools".

There are a few steps to this which you need to read up on from the google sitemap feature. Once submitted google does its thing to verify the file is correct. I have a feeling you must get a verification key from google as well.

I did this a long time ago so I apologize for being a bit vague and it's late I need to get to bed ;o)

i will use only the sitemap you suggest.
As for the metatags i don't need something more for now.

DarinAllan is correct about the file xml_google.php.
This comes with the module Sitemap, but as far as I know you don't have to put any Google-verification-code in it. Just register the file at Googles Webmaster Tools.

I found the file xml_google.php

As i understand i have to put this file into the root folder of my host.

Do i have to delete it from the initial location or just to copy it?

This file is my sitemap now?

I read google instructions but in some place hesitate because talk about Python!!! maybe i ask a friend of mine for this.

Anyway if this is the sitemap ok but if not don't bother anymore with this, i have other more imperative things to do for my site as statistics that don't work.

PS: DarinAllan don't worry about me, i am already at the astray

Re:

lol

Dimitris, I still have xml_google.php in sitemap module as well as in root. It seems to work fine, whether this is correct or not I am not sure, but it does work this way.

I just copyed it ;o)
