First off all i would like to say that i found some articles in here. To be specific i follow a tip guide optimization but as i see my position is not better.

Maybe it is my fault.

At the preferences--> meta tags etc i have put my desire keywords.

The thing is that when i go to the theme.html of my theme (i use a theme i bought and not the themes of xoops, i can't see any of my keywords.

Plus i made a test and the results were ...:(

i made the test here

for my url http://www.iek-01.com

Is there a posibility the theme i use to block the keywords i have put at the preferences of xoops?

Your keywords are there, just view the source of your page -

<meta content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" http-equiv="content-type"/>
<
meta content="el" http-equiv="content-language"/>
<
meta content="index,follow" name="robots"/>
[
color=ff0000]<meta content="Forum, ΙΕΚ,Ι.Ε.Κ,Ι.Ε.Κ,IEK Πληροφορικής,Πληροφορική,Multimedia,multimedia,ΟΕΕΚ,Σύλλογοι, computers,μεταδευτεροβάθμια,Ο.Ε.Ε.Κ,Διπλωματούχοι,Ελλάδα, Greece,εκπαίδευση,τεχνικός δικτύων,δίκτυα,pascal,router,πιστοποίηση, εξετάσεις πιστοποίησης,ερωτήσεις πιστοποίησης ΙΕΚ,πρακτικό μέρος,θεωρητικό μέρος,ειδικός εφαρμογών,ειδικός,ecdl,ECDL,ιδιωτικά ΙΕΚ, ΙΕΚ Δέλτα" name="keywords"/>
[
<
meta content="general" name="rating"/>
<
meta content="XOOPS" name="author"/>
<
meta content="Πνευματικά δικαιώματα © 2001-2007" name="copyright"/>
<
meta content="XOOPS" name="generator"/>

meta tags are not visible parts of your page, they are part of the code behind the page. For better search engine placement, having those keywords as part of your content is VERY important.

Also, as a guideline, you should have no more than 20 keywords for your page, and each page should have its own keywords.

The best way to improve your search engine position is to provide good content. A simple but often overlooked fact!

The Google webmaster guidelines above are a must-read.

Your site is only a month old. Older sites tend to rank higher.

You might want to add the SEO Stats in a custom block to your website (visible for admin only).
This little tool will show you your pagerank and also other info about your site and search engines.
The website http://www.mypagerank.net gives you also some more information about search engine ranking. Read the faq's.

I am not sure, but as far as I remember Google is updating the pagerank once every 3 months.

Hello Mcdonald. Regarding to SEO stats I may use it but I want your answer about the follow.
Google says to use a site map for better rank. I think there is a module for this, correct?

No their talking about their own sitemap.
If you go to Google Webmaster Tools and login you can add your site in the dashboard.
After this you can add a sitemap.
You can download a file called xml_google.php what you should place in the root of your site.

I submitted mine 3 months ago and so far my google ranking is not improved....but the webmaster tools give you a lot of info about what their crawler has done with your website.
