How to add Avatars for my users.

I found an amazing package of avatars (about 2500) and i want to upload them to my host and let my site users to use them.

Would you tell me how to add them and where at the server?

Do i have to make something else to activate them?

Is the amount too much? 2500? is it better to add only 1000 for example what do you think?

If you want to upload a huge amount of avatars you might want to use GIJOE's Avatar Manager.
You can use it for smilies too and uploading as a zip-file should also be possible.

Hello McDonald i use your way. It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo easy :)

By the way do i have to keep the module now or can i uninstall it?

I mean i did what i want do i have to keep it? or if i unistall it i will lose what i did with my avatars?

Something last where did they went to my server? i just want to see the loacation :)

As i understand your suggestion was another way of what DarinAllan told me to do right?


Both do the same thing?

The link I gave you is quite old, I didn't know about GIJoes Avatar Manager. He has some great XOOPS mods and hacks, I often visit his site to see what he is up to and to get module upgrades.

Stick with what McDonald posted ;o)

Once you have uploaded your avatars/smilies you can uninstall Avatar Manager and remove it from your server.
