Re: [Module Request] "Car Garage" module (2)

This has already be done before many times. It just a matter of the best way to build it.

I have a computer system made by adp hollander. Its called {hyms} aka hollander yard management system. Its runs on super dos which is trademarked by bluebird. We pay out the wassu for it...

It can decode any US production car since 1980 or so I believe. It tells me most everything I need to know when I decode a vin. The vin number will not give you gear ratios in my work system. You half to know where to look on the car for that info.

The interchange part of the system tells me what parts off of this ford will fit that mazda and so on.

The system will also Id part numbers from alot of manufactures. Just type the part number in and it tells you how it fits.

The only problem is you can't port the software from it. Well without being sued... lol

Here a few links...

AnalogX

Decoding your vin

There are lots more too... I do a lil digging...

I don't know if anyone mentioned it.... The list of notifications on notifications.php. It writes an extra / in the urls so they don't work.

All I know is that the list of notifications on my site contains all the notifications I have been sent. However, the urls in the links are output like this:

http://mysite.net/modules//article.php?storyid=16

So when they are clicked it just gives the page not found error.

I have tried to locate where the extra forward slash is coming from, but I haven't found it yet.

script_fu,

I just visited your site....

Now, I watched as this garage idea was started by you, here... and took on a life of its own and grew.

To think that XOOPS allowed you to do what you did in the space of a heartbeat is absolutely a miracle ---

beautiful, and useful!

Thank you script and all who contributed,
when one can do this with XOOPS why would they need anything else?

I know your real good with relevant XOOPS website content!

Maybe you would be interested in giving a helping hand?

We sure could use some of your skills to get the news section, custom blocks & forums straight.

Would you like another job...
