Hi, I have alot of anonymous guests posting spam at the moment.

Is there a setting in admin to allow only members to post.

I have protecter V3. but I think the problem might be as simple as the above.

Which module is giving you the SPAM problem? Is it a forum, an Articles system, downloads...?

nachenko is correct..
Isolate which module it is.

Check your module settings and check if annonymous users have the right to post. In forums it would be annonymous posts...in News it would be Allow Comments...etc.

Your assumption is right, its a simple adjustment that is actually quite effective against such postings.

Hi, its NewBB forum I am having the trouble with.
I cant find any part of it where you can adjust it so guests can post or not.
Anyone know where I should look?

Check in your admin for an Edit Forum there might be an Access Level setting in there which you can change.

No, Nothing as far as I can see.
Can't find a way to switch off the guests posting on the forum.

OK, I know NewBB. This one controls access in a 'per forum' basis, that is, every sub-forum has it's own configuration. You'll have to check all them.

I had same problem here:
