Any way the cloned version of EXTGal has been E-mailed to you.

I tested the cloned version and it seems to work as expected (ie the same as ExtGallary original), however before going live with it, I would advise you test it a little first to ensure it works fine.

A question I have is how do you learn how to do that, or even tweek modules. Is there books? Is it in the "building websites with xoops" book?

Well I've been around XOOPS since just about the beginning, although registered in late 2002 I think.

I was originally a Nuke convert.

Through out this time and running many XOOPS websites, you kinda get used to the code, now I'm not talented enough to code from scratch, but I'm normally able to edit, change, the modules & cms to suit my needs.

If it's a little over my head I normally ask here, 9 times out of 10 it's something simple I over looked in my tired state, lol.

There are php and MySQL books to buy and read, there are also websites you can learn from for example: http://w3schools.com/

Some people learn quicker than others, unfortunately I ain't one of them, lol.

Any way I shall stop boring you now, lol.

I sent this module to two people, for it to work you may need to rename a file slightly to upper case.

There is a file in the following folder:

modules/gallery/class/

The filename is:

galleryPersistableObjectHandler.php

And this needs changing to:

GalleryPersistableObjectHandler.php

Note the capital G, this didn't happen when I first tested it, but then tested on another server and had the problem, but by changing to upper case it worked, I presume your on linux or something similar.

One of the two whom I sent the cloned module too I have spoken too as he reported the problem of blank page in admin and front end, upon further investigation I found this fixed the problem for me.

I can't find the other users E-mail address, so I thought I post the info here in case he comes looking for it.
