Hi

In Newbb 2.02, is there a hack (or something i've missed) for making it possible to move a particular post in a topic, to another topic?

I know how to move a topic to a new forum, but can't find how to move a post to a new topic.

It seems that if someone posts in an incorrect topic, it's either gotta stay there, or be deleted, can't move that post to it's correct topic.

Any ideas ? thanks in advance :)
I used to be Indecisive ... but now I'm not so sure

There may be another way to do it but if you don't find one you might try...

1)going to your database
2)selecting posts
3)then browse (from top menu)
4)then edit the forum and topic id number of the post you wish to change.

split then merge

Not sure whether split available in 2.02
why not upgrade to 3.08?

I'm using CBB 3.04 and would like to move a single post from one forum to the another. I noticed the merge topics, but I only want to move a single post not the whole thread.

Without hacking the SQL, can this be done?

yes you can split individual posts out of a topic

if you look just below the text area there is a text link saying admin the page will reload in to the first admin layout there will again be an admin link click this again and the page will reload again this time there will be a split post option on each post you can then split the post off and merge it with another topic or make it its own topic

hope this helps
