Have you turned on PHP debug to get any php error messages?

Have you tried emptying your template_c folder? Leave the index.html file in there though for security reasons.

To solve this error, do the following:

In the ./index.php file, comment out lines 38-41 like, or just remove them
//function add_header($tpl_source, &$xoopsTpl)
//{
//    return "echo $xoops_module_header//?>n".$tpl_source;
//}

and then also comment out line 48 like
//$xoopsTpl->register_postfilter('add_header');

This will solve the problem till the final release comes out.

If you are talking about the index.php file of this module, after I did this it still gave me a blank page

Be sure to clear your templates_c and cache directories. Also, delete all your browser temporary files.

If you did this and you remed the code in the index.php file, then delete the code lines and repeat clear the templates_c and cache folders again.

Anytime you make a change to the files, you need to make sure you delete all php files in templates_c and cache folders and delete your browser files.

I have used MXdirectory for some time now and been through a couple of upgrades. Never have I had to touch any of the files as mentioned. In fact I just double checked and the code in the index.php file is still in tact and MXdirectory is functioning fine.

I am using XOOPS 2.0.16 and have MXdirectory 3.01 RC installed. I have even went so far as to rename the directory. My recommendation is that you don't touch the code in the index.php.

You could try to contact Zyspec or Tripmon to verify this if you want. But mine works fine.

I would take a look at the install instructions again. Maybe uninstall the module and then re-install it paying close attention to the install instructions. If that doesn't work uninstall it, delete it, get rid of it, and go grab another copy of the module then reinstall it again. Just in case your copy is corrupted some how.

Quest -

This solution I posted was provided to me by zyspec. I believe it is an issue with php5 or mysql5.

Thanks James. We aren't at 5 yet so that must be it. Much appreciated.

The issue is actually with the last change in the smarty template system...

are you still getting a blank index page?

I don't know if life4me2 still is or not, but I still am. I've been waiting on 3.01 final but decided to go ahead and try RC1 and am having problems. I'm using XOOPS 2.0.16 and PHP 5. Please advise as to what to do.

Also, how is mxDir development going? Still perking?
