Restricting Downloading from WF-Downloads or PD-Downloads

Is there a way to allow anonymous users to see the all the files and descriptions in the downlaods area, but restrict them from being able to get the files?

In other words, if they click the "downlaod" link, it will tell them they don't have access and require registration?

In wf downloads fo to site admin/wfdownloads/ click on permissions.
You can tick view and download permissions for each category of files. For what you want give them permission to view by ticking the box but remove the download permsions.

set minimum posts for download to 1 or more in preferences.

Try xasset. Much better permissions and also alows subscriptions.
