Why not? Maybe somebody could make it work for XOOPS then? It's better to have something that works and can be compared to than having nothing at all.

We are not looking for perfection in code, but for something that works

At this point, I would be willing to help contribute finacially to get this thing back to working and maybe updated with new features. I don't know if anyone else would like to do so also but it may be the only way we can get someone motivated to fix it. Or we could just hound solo or phppp or hervet or someone till they cave in, hahahaha. Just kiddin.

There are a few developers who may be willing to do this as a paid project.

Yeah, I've considered taking this on - but I just haven't looked at it yet. I send gardenguy a PM about 10 days ago to see if he'd be willing to let me get a copy of his php-nuke files but unfortunately he hasn't responded. I looked at his website referenced above but truthfully I couldn't find a "Contact Us" or "email the webmaster" links anywhere... so I kind of put it on the back burner since I really don't want to re-invent the wheel.

I also noticed that gardenguy hasn't been on in about a week so maybe he's "outside in the garden" and will stop back by XOOPS sometime...

I haven't seen any more progress on MS-Weather but has anyone tried the new Simple Weather module?

I just tried this module. Very nice and closest thing Ive seen to MS-Weather with allowing for mulitple cities. The detailed forcast and graphics are much better than MS-Weather. I love everything about it except the blocks option. Very minimal and only displays one city. It's new so maybe there will be some improvements on it from the dev team. Nice job dpfresh!!!
