Hi everyone,

I installed xoops-2.0.15 on suse 10.1 (php5), and tried to install all kinds of modules which I used on suse 8.2, but most of them do not work anymore.

When those modules can be crrected by someone to make them work again? for example, donations, liaise, tropical, archcontact, contact_plus, weblinks do not work anymore.

Thanks,

Yong Zhang

Hi christian

Is this a bug-fix of 'form.php' for 2.0.15?

For some reason seemed to take some time to be found (just saw it reported today when I had some problems with an older module), but yes this seems to be a bug. The above fixes will work.

The original fix was posted on GiJoe's website at the end of August. Surprised this isn't available on Xoops.org as a patch file if core team agree it's a bug.

Perhaps as they want to ensure it works in all cases... also I don't believe I've seen this possible fix submitted in Sourceforge by the author?

Hi,

Thanks for sending the links to me. But I do not think the fix disccussed in the email is the things I need. I do not have any knowledge to edit PHP file.

What I want to say it that most modules before xoops-2.0.15 was released do not work properly anymore or do not work anymore. xoops-2.0.15 does not contain any module by default installation (only system). Users have to download each module they need to install it themself. I tried about 20 modules but only few are working properly. What shall I do.

My XOOPS is installed in suse 10.1 with php5.

Who can help me?

Hi - seems you having a lot more trouble than others:

You can try here for latest modules and here for the module playground. You can use the search function and look for news releases to also find recently released modules.

I think you might also need to make sure you are installing them properly - please check out Visual tutorials: please go here and look for the ones on module deployment.

perhaps this
FAQ will help you. Finally do you have a copy of the admistration manula from xoopsdocs?

id on the other hand you are convinced you are doing the module installation correctly one thing that seems common is that some users found that starting with a fresh install of 2.0.14 then upgrading to 2.0.15 did the trick - so if you are just starting out try uninstalling everything and starting over in this way. The file referred to above comes from 2.0.14, so if you go this way you will have it easily.
