Hey everyone,

I'm totally new to XOOPS I decided to use this for a website I'm currently designing because I don't really have any serious knowledge on HTML, JAVA, etc. and this seemed pretty user-friendly so to speak.

I downloaded a few themes from this site that looked awesome and I already installed the xoop through my FTP but now I'm lost.

Could someone please explain to me step-by-step on how to install themes and get things working?

Keep in mind this is my first website that I have actually tried building myself so please be patient with me hehe.

Any help would be great and I thank everyone in advance for any help/tips they could give me on how to get the theme install and setup.

Welcome to XOOPS - hopefully this advice will get you on the right track

New users should always checkout the following:
1. Documentation - linked on the left. Specifically the administration manual
2. The FAQ section - linked on the left - specifically the sections on gloassry, beginners first steps, modules, blocks and themes. There are links to visual tutorials here.
3. The search function on the top right.

Hey thanks for the swift reply and advice but I'm kinda lost at the moment.

I watched the flash video on how to install the themes and I'm following every step along the way but when it comes to the part where they ask me to log in to XOOPS and go to the admin icon I'm lost, Because I have no admin icon.

I don't know if this has anything to do with my hosting provider (godaddy.com) or if somethings wrong but I only see a few icons and they are edit account, view account, and search I believe.

So my quesion is, where is the admin icon?

I guess I need this as my next step to installing the theme.
