how do I change the admin username and password - urgent

I finally fixed my site from the blank page. Everything works fine except for MY admin id. the hacker hacked my id and if i log in, it refreshes the pages like crazy. So I deleted the id to keep it from being hacked again. I have other admins which i hope the hacker doesnt know the pws. Is there a way to create a new admin id in cpanel or mysql(phpmyadmin)? Please Help! thanks.

PLEASE. I NEED YOUR HELP DESPERATELY. ALL MY ADMINS were hacked.. is there a way to create an admin account without logging into admin menu?

Hi Koralax - try this FAQ which I found pretty much straight away with a search. There are two things you could consider if you are in urgent need of help - The first one is to use the search funcstion and check the FAQ's. See the please read before you post link below.

The second one is to change the way you are writing subject headers - Quote:

is not a specific question and will not attract attention if you have an urgent need. A 'how do I change the admin username and password - urgent' would have been much more specific and perhaps even got immediate attention.

Please let us know if you have trouble with the instructions in the FAQ.

Is there a way to create a new admin id in cpanel or mysql(phpmyadmin)for my website login? not cpanel or ftp ids but for my site.

this only answers the password not the making of a new admin id

Ok...here are two more links to try
check post#25 - for this:
Have a look into your database with phpMyAdmin.

Check the table xoops_users:
- Does the user with the uid 1 still exist?

If yes you can change your password following this faq item: How can i reset the administrator password?

If no and the uid 1 was completely deleted you can recreate the user with this query executed in phpMyAdmin: - and there is a code that follows.

I also found this FAQ that might help.

I suggest you try searching through the threads on being hacked - there is a lot to learn and lots of ideas once you resolve this one.
