Hi.

I am currently using 2.0.18 XOOPS and have used protector for some time now. One of my members stated that they could not access my site for more than a few minutes so I went to protector and pasted the member's ip in one of the two boxes the IPs. I'm not sure which one but either Bad IPs or ____. Anyways, after I pressed okay to the member's ip address in protector, I was suddenly banned out. When I tried to log in, it states,

"This account is disabled for your IP by Protector"

I tried going to the nearby internet cafe, and tried logging in with my id but it states the same sentence above. I have a visitor username i use to test things and that works fine. When I tried the other admin's id's it failed to work for the same reason.

What can I do if I am banned out by protector? I tried deleting the module itself but it doesnt seem to help!

yes the site works but every once in a while that error appears. I press back and click again and then the error is gone. But this keeps constantly happening. The only errors that occured were

Warning: include(/include/autologin.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in file /mainfile.php line 104
Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '/include/autologin.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in file /mainfile.php line 104

which i fixed. i think this wasnt changed from the old version of autologin hack.

Anyways, I tried uploading the backup of my mainfile.php. I'll tell you what happens. Thanks.

I couldnt have overwritten the mainfile.php while updating cause the htdocs folder for the upgrade from 2.0.17 to 2.0.18 does not contain a mainfile.php file in it. Everything seems to be okay in mainfile.php as well because codes i put for autologins and stuff are all still there:/

I'm lost.

Hi.

I recently updated my XOOPS site to 2.0.18. After doing so, I started getting the following message on a white page a few times a day while browsing my site.

"This page cannot be displayed due to an internal error.

You can provide the following information to the administrators of this site to help them solve the problem:

Error: Unable to connect to database"

I don't think it's the server problem since I never had problems with Bluehost. This error started happening right after I installed 2.0.18 final. I'm not sure how to fix this. I would appreciate it if someone helped!

Here is my website. www.boashouse.com

Thank you.
Alex.

I tried this method. It worked for like 10 minutes then did not work again. :(

I tried downloading the latest XOOPS 2018 final version and installing it but it still does not work. Please help!

Hi.

I recently updated my XOOPS site to 2.0.18. After doing so, my smilies stopped showing up properly. Now, only the codes to type in for the smiley to show up, appear. For example, this has the code : -D and only : -D shows up. These codes become links linking to xoopsroot/modules/mediawiki/?title=(name of smiley)
when no such folder called mediawiki exists in my modules folder.

I don't know why this is happening. Please Help!!

Indeed it was a server issue.
"We apologize for the inconvenience we always try an put these off till the evening hours to minimize the inconvenience to our customers but one of our admins currently has your server down investigating an "unknown issue".
He has noted the server should be back up in about 15-30 minutes. "

what could this unknown investigation be? lol.
Hopefully this problem fixes along with the ending of the investigation. Thanks for your help Dave
