Guys just out of fun, do you remember your first website or computer.

I remember paying some hefty 200$ for a hosting package some 10 years ago.
In the package.
I had a subdomain and not a domain, with 1mega bite of server space.
I chased someone for ages and we sat down to build that html thing, and obviously i had to pay him around 150$ for his time.
It was only a few images and two pages text. To have the email hot linked - was for free- but when you know nothing they and he almost wanted to bill you for that.

It was a mighty success though.
In no time yahoo sent me an email informing me that they have indexed my site.
During these days, in my category we were few, today the search results are in hundreds of thousands.

Well that was really expensive though.. but it paid back a hundred times more.

I remember my first. In that day, we were unaware of html editors, I am not really sure there were any. Anyhow, we hand coded about 100 pages over a weekend. The result was not half bad looking, but a farcry from what we have today. That website still exists, albeit as a XOOPS site.
