When I installed XM-Spotlight i discovered a bug.

Whenever I attempted to post a news article it would cause an error in IE and IE would give me the Send Error & Dont Send screen. Then the window for my site would close.

The article is posted but this is a nuisance.

This seems to happen with a couple of modules i've noticed aswell but not everytime i post.

can you please include the other details from your site? Check the read b4 you post link below.

XOOPS Version: 2.0.14
Module Name/Version: XM-Spotlight version 1.01 (alpha) & News 1.44
PHP Version: 4.3.10
MySQL Version: 4.1.14

I think its more down to IE to be honest. I'm now using FireFox and i'm not getting any problems at all.

This problem happens sometimes with other sites in IE but just not as much.

I am getting the same problem with SmartSections.

No offence, but why use this Spotlight module with news 1.44 if this news module has a build in Spotlight feature?
Could be I overlooked something with this module the news 1.44 doesn't have?

XM-Spotlight allows a number of spotlighted news areas, like we have here.

I don't think there are any immediate plans to add this to News - but perhaps if Hervet decides there is enough interest, he may think otherwise.

(Although for users who wish to only use one module - I believe he does do contracted XOOPS module work as well )

Thanls for the explanation. Indeed a feature news 1.44 doesn't have. Now this module does make sence to me
