(I tried this post in other sections but it was ignored so I figured this may be a better place to ask!)

Does anyone know of a really decent freeware CSS editor?
I have been using TopStyle which was great for CSS editing but when the trial ran out I got stuck with TopStyle light which is very restricted and you cant interact with the design preview.

OK, I am a being a bit tight not buying a full version, but I have just forked out for the latest Dreamweaver which edits CSS but doesnt have a preview of the styles.

Sorry I dont have an answer. I was just going to post almost the same question before I happened to see you've already done so.

I am using topstyle pro myself but was wondering if there is a better program to use that is a bit more explanitory or visual when it comes to editing and output. While the "preview" of the output is nice in topstyle, it personally does me no good when its not showing me exactly what it does on the acutal theme itself while editing.

I get lost changing colors and adding borders and forgeting what class or element affected what on the theme.

Is there a better solution to explain or show me that when I edit something like .odd or .even or .bg, it will display it on my theme without having to upload it to my ftp and see what changes it really made to my theme?

Hope all of that makes sense. I guess I'm looking for a topstyle type program with the integrated preview of the output which would be the theme itself.

Personally can't use apps like that.

More of a Metapad kinda guy, but good luck.
