I have been contemplating upgrading my site from 2.0.13.1 to 2.0.14 for some time now. My addy is http://www.greenvillefirstwesleyan.com and had been running in production mode with little to no issues for quite sometime now. I am anxious to see some of the moves that have been made with the upgrades. My problem is that it is recommended (a belive me when I have no desire to do anything else) to upgrade to 2.0.14 and that the files can be located at Sourceforge.net - there is actually a link provided here that takes you straight to the file download section of sourceforge for those stated upgrade files. Once there it has all the upgrade files one using XOOPS of any version would need WITH THE EXCEPTION (this isn't yelling - just emphasis) of 2.0.14. I thought about going ahead and upgrading to 2.0.13.2 but then decided it better to just make the jump to 2.0.14 (if I am going to bite the bullet, might as well make it worth my effort - lol). If anyone has the upgrade files or a link to the file it would be greatly appreciated, also any suggestions or links to documentation on upgrading from 13.1 to 14 would be helpful as well. I have been using XOOPS for about 3 years now and can assure you - it is my CMS of choice and I have no desire to switch to any other CMS (I have used a couple others briefly). I am also hoping that the changes made will be beneficial as my current site: http://www.greenvillefirstwesleyan.com is just the beginning of that line of sites. I will probably be creating quite a few church sites for this denomination in my area (as well as our District Website). I am possibly going to move from my shared hosting server and try and get a dedicated (depending on price) as well.

One other thing while I am in here, and if someone could help with - I mentioned that I use a shared hosting company. When I signed up for the account it was originally for a gaming community website: http://www.a3eclan.com. I let that site go dormant as I was without Internet for about a year. During that time my hosting company was attacked majorly and the server I was on was lost. After getting back on and checking that it was down I decided to use it for my church. The company actually gave me their largest account (E-Commerce size) for my same 32.00 a year for the life of my account - only stipulation - I CAN'T change my main domain - something in the rules. Right now I have greenvillefirstwesleyan parked there and redirecting to http://www.a3eclan.com so at least people can type in their normal addy - problem is (and most people don't realize this) after they get there of course everything is http://www.a3eclan.com 9most people once at a site rarely look at the addy bar). My issue is how can I put some sort of alias. Also - if I change hosting companies - MySQL is probably littered with a3eclan everywhere.

Right now my upgrade is of more importance to me - but any help on the other question would be welcomed as I actually have ventured into a realm that is a little bit out of my reach (as of now - I am still a novice in this area).

Thanks for listening to me ramble - Sincerely - Troy.

BTW - yes..many gramatical errors - I am at work and being rushed

If you want to upgrade from any release of XOOPS from 2.0.10 to 2.0.13.2 - just follow the upgrade instructions in the release.

Please backup your site & data first of course

Actually performing the operation isn't an issue for me - the files to upgrade to .14 just aren't there.

thats because it is not as it was - there are some changes you need to make so following the steps in the release notes with the full version 2.0.14 is the upgade. There isn;t any upgrade file as there has been in the past. This is I believe explained in the release notes....and definately explored in the comments following the news item announcing it's release.
